Saina Nehwal born March 17, 1990 is an Indian Khel Ratna badminton player currently ranked number 4 in the world by Badminton World Federation.Saina is the first Indian woman to reach the singles quarterfinals at the Olympics and the first Indian to win the World Junior Badminton Championships. Saina Nehwal made history on June 21, 2009, becoming the first Indian to win a Super Series tournament, by clinching the Indonesia Open with a stunning victory over higher-ranked Chinese Wang Lin in Jakarta.

Saina won her second career Super Series title by winning the Singapore Open title on June 20, 2010. She completed a hat-trick in the same year by winning the Indonesian Open on June 27, 2010. This win resulted in her rise to 3rd ranking and subsequently to No. 2. Later in the same year she also won Hong Kong Super Series on December 12, 2010.

Previously coached by S. M. Arif, a Dronacharya Award winner, Saina is the reigning Indian national junior champion and is currently coached by Indonesian badminton legend Atik Jauhari since August 2008,with the former All England champion and national coach Pullela Gopichand being her mentor.

Saina was born in Hisar, Haryana and has spent her entire life in Hyderabad, India. Her foray into the world of badminton was influenced by her father Dr. Harvir Singh, a scientist at the Directorate of Oilseeds Research, Hyderabad and her mother Usha Nehwal, both of whom were former badminton champions in Haryana. Philip Nikodem "Phil" Jagielka born 17 August 1982 in Sale, Greater Manchester is an English international footballer who plays for Everton in the Premier League. He played regularly in central midfield for his previous club Sheffield United, but generally plays in central defence for Everton. In emergencies he has even played as a goalkeeper.

Jagielka started his career with Sheffield United, joining current team, Everton, in 2007 for a fee of £4m. He is a former England under-21 international, having been capped six times and scoring two goals for the team. He has also gained recognition for both the England B team and the full England team.

Jagielka was born in Sale, Greater Manchester, and first impressed youth scouts whilst playing for his local team Hale Barns United in Altrincham. He predominantly played midfield during his time with the club. He spent time training with clubs such as Stoke City, Everton and Manchester City, before joining Sheffield United in 1998 at 15 years of age.

Jagielka is a former member of the England under-21 team, and scored in a 2–0 victory over Slovakia at the Stadium of Light in June 2003.

Eden Hazard born 7 January 1991 is a Belgian football player who currently plays for French club Lille in Ligue 1 and the Belgium national team. He primarily plays as an attacking midfielder and a winger. Hazard is known for his creativity, speed, and technical ability and is described as a "fearless, explosive attacking midfielder who can change the game with a turn of pace or a dribble".He has also been described as "a defender's nightmare" and has earned critical acclaim for his playing style, which has led to the media, coaches, and players drawing comparisons to FIFA World Player of the Year winners Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Hazard is the son of former Belgian football players Carine and Thierry Hazard and began his football career in Belgium playing for local clubs Royal Stade Brainois and Tubize. In 2005, he ventured to France joining first division club Lille. Hazard spent two years in the club's academy and, at the age of 16, made his professional debut in November 2007. BIOGRAPHY

Adel Taarabt born 24 May 1989 is a Moroccan footballer who plays for Queens Park Rangers as a midfielder. He began his playing career in France at Lens before moving to English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur in 2007. He was unable to break into the first team at Spurs under either Juande Ramos or Harry Redknapp and moved to QPR, initially on loan, in July 2009 and then permanently in August 2010. He quickly established himself at Loftus Road and was made captain by manager Neil Warnock at the start of the 2010/11 season. He represented France at youth levels but opted to play for his native Morocco at senior level making his debut in February 2009.

Born in Zeghangane, Morocco,Taarabt grew up in Berre-l'Étang, France having moved there at the age of nine months. He began his career at Lens in 2004, and played 14 games for RC Lens B in the Championnat de France amateur.He made one first team appearance for Lens during the 2006–07 season.

Taarabt signed for Tottenham Hotspur on a long-term loan on 2 January 2007 after the club offered to quickly integrate him into the first team to offer him maximum playing time. Within two months he made his first senior appearance in a Tottenham shirt, entering as a 87th minute substitute against local rivals West Ham United, which ended as a 4–3 victory. He made a second appearance in the 1–0 loss to Chelsea, again as a second half substitute, playing as a striker.

Tottenham signed Taarabt permanently on 8 June. Upon signing for Tottenham he was hyped as the next Zinedine Zidane. He scored his first goal for Spurs in a pre-season friendly against Stevenage Borough on 7 July. He made his first appearance of the 2007–08 season with Tottenham against Derby County in the 4–0 win on 18 August, which he entered at the 70th minute.

At the beginning of the 2008–09 season, Taarabt was not given a squad number by then manager Juande Ramos, though he was given his old number when Harry Redknapp took over team management.

On 13 March 2009, he joined Championship team Queens Park Rangers on loan until the end of the season.He scored his first goal for QPR in a 2–1 win over Bristol City.His loan spell was cut short after he suffered a knee injury which required surgery.

Taarabt rejoined QPR on a season-long loan for the 2009–10 season on 23 July 2009. On 1 October, Taarabt scored a "wonder strike" in a match against Preston North End. He collected the ball on his chest inside the QPR half and dribbling 20 yards past three players and curled in a shot from 25 yards. This led Jim Magilton to label Taarabt as a "genius" and the goal is seen as one of the Championship's finest.

Tottenham confirmed in October 2009 that Taarabt could stay at QPR for the season providing that a Premier League club did not make a bid for him in the January transfer window. QPR were unable to make the transfer a permanent one because they could not afford the £4.5 million valuation placed on Taarabt by Spurs.

In March 2010, Taarabt was quoted in an interview as being sorry that he signed for Tottenham. He had said "The big mistake was to sign for Tottenham and not go to another club when I first came over". He stated that he wished he had signed for Arsenal instead but had opted for Spurs after Damien Comolli moved from being a scout at Arsenal to director of football at Spurs. He stated that he felt he would have been given more chances to play at Arsenal and was advised at the time not to sign for Spurs by his friends Armand Traore and Abou Diaby, who play for Arsenal.

Taarabt went on to state his intention to sign for one of the top clubs in Spain "I hope to be playing for one of the top four in Spain next season – Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia or Sevilla. I have contact with good teams and I know that they want me. Now I just have to hope they can agree a deal with Tottenham."

In January 2011, Taarabt was interviewed by the Evening Standard, in which he stated: "The man who took me to Tottenham was Damien Comolli, now at Liverpool. He was at Arsenal then. But, when I was going to go to Arsenal, he moved to Tottenham. He told me: 'Come to Tottenham. We want to do like they do at Arsenal and take the best young players in the world. You're going to have a better chance there.' I believed him. This was a mistake and I regret it. Tottenham tried to do it like Arsenal but it's a different culture. I would have had a better chance at Arsenal. I would progress with Arsene Wenger. He is a legend in France, one of the best managers in the world".

Taarabt signed permanently for QPR on 4 August 2010 on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee. He scored his first goal as a permanent QPR player during the first game of QPR's 2010–11 Football League Championship campaign against Barnsley, a penalty during the 4–0 win on 7 August 2010. Taarabt's performances for QPR during August 2010 earned him the Championship's Player of the Month award, as QPR topped the table.

In August 2010, with club captain Martin Rowlands a long-term injury victim and stand-in captain Fitz Hall unavailable, Taarabt was named captain. In December, manager Neil Warnock revealed that Taarabt would continue to serve as captain even after Hall's return from injury.

By the end of February 2011, Adel had scored 15 Championship goals for the season.The 15th was scored from the penalty spot in a 3–0 away win at Middlesbrough. On 30 April, Taarabt scored the first of the goals in a 2–0 win over Watford to help crown his team as champions and securing promotion to the Premier League.

On 3 June 2011, Taarabt ended his international career after being dropped to the bench for an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria the following day.

AHWANSI.BLOGSPOT.COM--Gelandang Real Madrid Mesut Ozil menyambut positif kabar bakal bergabungnya striker Atletico Madrid asal Argentina, Sergio Aguero.

Rumor kepindahan Aguero ke tim rival sekota di ibu kota Spanyol itu kembali muncul musim panas ini, meski belum ada pembicaraan resmi antara kubu Real maupun Atletico terkait rencana kepindahan Aguero.

Hanya saja, menurut Ozil, Aguero adalah sosok striker yang tepat untuk Real, bahkan pantas mengenakan nomor punggung 10 di kostum Los Blancos.

"Madrid seperti telah menyimpan nomor punggung 10 untuk Aguero musim depan," kata pemain keturunan Turki itu pada media Jerman, Saz Aktuell.

Ozil menikmati musim pertamanya di Spanyol bersama Real Madrid setelah pindah dari Werder Bremen. Ia membawa Madrid menjuarai Copa del Rey, melaju ke semifinal Liga Champions, dan menjadi runner up La Liga.

Musim lalu Aguero merupakan top skor Atletico Madrid dengan total 27 gol dalam 41 pertandingan di semua kompetisi. Namun Aguero gagal meloloskan Atletico ke Liga Champions setelah Atletico hanya finish di peringkat tujuh Liga Primera 2010-11.

Pada tahun berikutnya dipinang oleh klub raksasa Barcelona selama 3 tahun (1986-1989) dan berhasil meraih satu trofi Piala Winner. Ini Baru bisa di acungi jempol pemain yang benar benar- hebat....

Pada tahun 1989 memutuskan untuk kembali ke Liga Inggris dan bergabung dengan Tottenham Hotspur dan sempat menjadi top skor pada musim 1989-1990 dengan torehan 24 gol. Pada tahun 1992 hengkang ke Jepang dengan klub Nagoya Grampus Eight dan mengakhiri karier sepakbola di usia yg masih bisa dibilang cukup muda pada tahun 1994.

Sedangkan di Tim Nasional Inggris Lineker melakukan debut nya pada tahun 1984 melawan Skotlandia. Dan pada tahun 1986 membawa Inggris melaju hingga semifinal Piala Dunia dan berhasil menjadi Top Skor dengan 5 gol. Selama bergabung dengan Tim Three Lions, Lineker menjalani 80 pertandingan resmi dan membukukan 48 gol.

Selama 16 tahun berkarir di dunia sepakbola profesional Gary Lineker sudah menjalani lebih dari 560 pertandingan dan hebatnya dia sama sekali tidak pernah menerima hukuman kartu (baik kartu kuning maupun merah) dari wasit. Karena pencapaian tersebut, pada tahun 1990 dia mendapat penghargaan FIFA Fair Play Award.

AHWANSI.BLOGSPOT.COM-Bintang Barcelona Lionel Messi meraih penghargaan FIFA Ballon d’Or atau Pemain Terbaik Dunia 2010. Polemik sempat mewarnai terpilihnya Messi untuk kedua kalinya secara beruntun ini.

Bahkan, beberapa mantan rekannya di Barcelona juga tak memilih Messi. Seperti dilansir Tribal, striker AC Milan Zlatan Ibrahimovic dan striker Inter Milan Samuel Eto’o tak menggap Messi sebagai yang terbaik.

Ibra mempunyai suara karena statusnya sebagai kapten Swedia sedangkan Eto’o karena berstatus kapten Kameron. Keduanya memang tak menganggap tahun 2010 sebagai tahunnya Messi .

Tak hanya itu, Kapten Spanyol yang juga kapten Real Madrid Iker Casillas juga tak memilih striker mungil Argentina ini. Begitu juga dengan Cristiano Ronaldo yang berstatus kapten Portugal juga tak memilih Messi.

Menariknya, jika pemilihan Pemain Terbaik Dunia tahun ini hanya ditentukan lewat suara para jurnalis seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, maka yang terpilih seharusnya adalah Wesley Sneijder diikuti Andres Iniesta dan Xavi Hernandez.

Berapa pemain yang mendukung Sneijder diikuti Iniesta dan Xavi diantaranya adalah kapten Manchester United Rio Ferdinand.

AHWANSI.BLOGSPOT.COM-Sekretaris Jenderal FIFA Jérôme Valcke dan CEO Adidas Group Herbert Hainer hari ini secara resmi mengumumkan 10 nominasi untuk Pemain Terbaik Piala Dunia 2010. The Adidas Golden Ball merupakan nama resmi yang diberikan oleh FIFA untuk “Pemain Terbaik Turnamen”. Sepuluh pemain dipilih dan dicalonkan oleh Kelompok Studi Teknis FIFA yang anggotanya termasuk dari ahli sepak bola seperti Kalusha Bwalya, Christian Karembeu, Jomo Sono dan Gérard Houllier.

Nominasi untuk Adidas Golden Ball FIFA World Cup 2010 adalah: Diego Forlan (Uruguay, nomor punggung 10), Asamoah Gyan (Ghana, 3), Andres Iniesta (Spanyol, 6), Lionel Messi (Argentina, 10), Mesut Oezil (Jerman, 8), Arjen Robben (Belanda, 11), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Jerman, 7), Wesley Sneijder (Belanda, 10), David Villa (Spanyol, 7), Xavi (Spanyol, 8).

Perwakilan dari media resmi dan terakreditasi yang meliput selama Piala Dunia 2010 akan memilih untuk menentukan pemenang yang meraih medali Emas, Perak dan Perunggu untuk kategori Pemain Terbaik World Cup 2010. Para pemenang akan diumumkan setelah final pada tanggal 11 Juli 2010.

Arsitek serangan tim, sangat berpengaruh, dampak besar untuk timnya, bagus dalam penyelesaian akhir, pencetak gol terbanyak timnya, bagus dalam set pieces maupun tendangan dari jarak jauh.

Asamoah GYAN (Ghana)

Pekerja keras, efisien, bagus dalam menggiring/dribel bola, pintar menciptakan masalah untuk pertahanan lawan, pencetak gol yang bagus untuk timnya.

Andres INIESTA (Spanyol)

Sebagai gelandang serang yang bagus dalam bermain bola, bintang bagi tim, kemampuan dribbling mengesankan.

Lionel MESSI (Argentina)

Ulung dalam penempatan posisi dan kreativitas untuk timnya, dribbling, shooting, dan passing yang spektakuler serta efisien.

Mesut OEZIL (Jerman)

Pemotong bola pertama di lini tengah dan pengumpan yang akurat, teknik individu yang bagus, perebut bola yang bagus.

Seorang maestro di lini tengah, pekerja keras, mesin serangan Belanda, pengumpan dan pencetak gol yang ulung.

David VILLA (Spanyol)

Pencetak gol terbanyak untuk timnya; cepat, dua kakinya sama-sama baik, bagus dalam situasi satu lawan satu, pengumpan yang baik, finisher yang sangat baik

XAVI (Spanyol)

Pengatur irama permainan dan mesin serangan dari tim Spanyol, sangat berpengaruh dalam permainan, salah satu gelandang terbaik di turnamen.

AHWANSI.BLOGSPOT.COM-Federasi sepakbola dunia FIFA mengumumkan All-star Piala Dunia 2010. Sebelas pemain terpilih dalam starting IX formasi 4-4-2, berdasarkan voting situs FIFA.com.

Seperti dilansir Goal.com, Tim ini terdiri dari enam pemain juara dunia Spanyol, dan pelatih yang terpilih adalah Vicente Del Bosque. Sisanya diwakili dua pemain Jerman, dan satu dari Brasil, Uruguay dan Belanda.

Kiper : Iker Casillas

Pemain bertahan : Maicon - Sergio Ramos - Carles Puyol - Philipp Lahm

Pemain tengah : Wesley Sneijder - Xavi - Bastian Schweinsteiger - Andres Iniesta

Penyerang : Diego Forlan - David Villa

Pilihan fans termasuk tiga pemain bertahan (Maicon, Ramos, Lahm), lalu dua penyerang lubang (Sneijder dan Xavi). Namun sayangnya penerima sepatu emas dan pemain muda terbaik, Thomas Muller, gagal tembus 11 pemain utama.

AHWANSI.BLOGSPOT.COM-UEFA merilis Pemain terbaik Liga Champions musim 2010/11.  Meski kompetisinya sendiri masih menyisakan satu pertandingan final, dalam rilisan UEFA terdapat banyak kejutan dari daftar 11 pemain pilihan UEFA.

Yang bikin kaget adalah tak ada nama Cristiano Ronaldo, bomber Real madrid calon peraih Sepatu Emas tingkat Eropa musim ini. CR7 dinilai kurang menunjukkan ketajamannya bersama Real Madrid di kompetisi Eropa.

Ronaldo hanya mampu mencetak enam gol dari 12 penampilan bersama Madrid. Yang menarik, justru terdapat nama mantan striker Real Madrid, Raul Gonzalez, di daftar sebelas pemain terbaik. Padahal, Raul hanya membuat lima gol dari 12 penampilannya sampai babak semifinal Liga Champions.

Manchester United dan Barcelona sama-sama diwakili tiga pemain. Klub-klub seperti Shakhtar Donetsk dan Tottenham Hotspur juga kedapatan jatah. Darijo Srna mewakili Shakhtar dan The Spurs diwakili oleh Gareth Bale.
